A woman was injured after being hit by a stray bullet near the Line of Control (LoC) in Nowshera area of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir.
An official said that 35-year-old Rekhmat Bi, wife of Gulzar Hussain, resident of Pukhari, felt some pain in her thigh while she was asleep outside her house.
She was rushed to a hospital today morning where doctors found a bullet lodged inside her wound.
The official said that the woman puts up very close to the LoC. “The possibility of a stray bullet fired from across the border can't be ruled out. We are investigating,” he said.
